A technology-focused organisation in Dublin is looking for a Security Operations & Compliance Engineer to support the protection of its internal systems, networks, and cloud services. This position mixes hands-on security work with compliance and risk activity, giving you day-to-day involvement in monitoring, assessments, and control improvements.

You’ll work closely with technical teams to strengthen defences, review potential risks, and help ensure the business maintains a strong and consistent security posture.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Keep internal security processes and controls up to date and ensure they’re followed effectively.
• Carry out routine assessments, security checks, and vulnerability reviews across systems and networks.
• Assist teams across the business with secure practices and help drive adoption of security standards.
• Monitor alerts, analyse security data, and support investigations when issues arise.
• Maintain network and endpoint protection measures across firewalls, EDR, VPNs, and related tools.
• Assist with backup and recovery processes, ensuring key systems stay resilient.
• Review log data, identify weak points, and support improvements to overall security readiness.

What You Should Bring

• Good knowledge of general security operations and hands-on experience with common security tools.
• Familiarity with SIEM use, incident handling, and basic investigation workflows.
• Practical exposure to firewalls, VPN setups, endpoint protection, detection systems, and vulnerability tooling.
• Understanding of access control concepts identity systems, directory services, MFA, and permissions models.
• Awareness of cloud security concepts (Azure/AWS desirable).
• Comfortable working across different teams and providing clear, concise updates.

• Certifications such as Security+, CEH, GSEC, or CISSP are helpful but not required.
